ActiveCaptain Explorer Preview Adds Nautical Charts
==========================================
The preview of ActiveCaptain Explorer continues to add functionality with the addition of nautical charts. Check it out - it's the future: http://www.activecaptain.com/X.php
We've listened to your suggestions over the last two years and are working towards making ActiveCaptain your guidebook of the future. Our goal is to make a site that offers the information you need in a way that's easy to access. Look it over and tell us what you think.
Make sure you check out the new fuel price display feature. Select the Markers tab and under Settings turn on "Gas" or "Diesel" Extra Data. You can sort by the fuel price by checking "Sort list by extra data". When you refresh your markers they will display in order of lowest to highest fuel price!
Save Money on Fuel with ActiveCaptain
==========================================
As our fuel price program completes its third month we continue to gain support from the marinas. We've worked to make a process that only takes a few seconds for them to update a fuel price. Feedback has been great. But the more marinas that participate the more useful this will be for all of our Captains. You can help.
Ask your homeport marina if they are participating and encourage them to contact us if they don't know about it. Whenever you purchase fuel tell them that you use ActiveCaptain to find the best fuel (and slip) prices. Use your power as a consumer to ensure you have the best data possible when making your next refueling decision.
Fellow Captains Offer A Canine Solution
==========================================
Fellow Captains, Ralph and Celeste Yost, have contributed an article on how they solved the problem of getting their 45-pound Portuguese Water Dog, Striper, over their high freeboard and into the dinghy. For those of us who feel that leaving our four-footed family members ashore just isn't an option, we understand the quandary. But Ralph and Celeste found a very ingenious solution. We encourage you to check it out at:

Yoga Onboard Web Site
==========================================
>From time to time we come across web sites we really like. A couple of years ago Karen, who has been a dedicated yogi for over ten years, received Kim Hess's book "Yoga Onboard" as a gift. As Jeff begins his own yoga exploration, we discovered Kim's web site:

If you love yoga or are looking for a great way to stay in shape while cruising check it out!
Follow us on Twitter
==========================================
We've been making tweets for about a month. They contain daily information about what we're doing and what is happening with ActiveCaptain. There are currently over 300 people who are following us and receiving these messages.
If you'd like to follow us, check out:

Twitter is the coolest new internet thing. If you need more information about it, ask your kids or grandkids. They're most certainly using it!
ActiveCaptain Wins Another Award
==========================================
The ActiveCaptain series "Mobile Phones on Your Boat" won a Boating Writers International Award at the Miami Boat Show last month. The first article in the series was one of three awards in the Electronics category chosen from among hundreds of entries. If you haven't read the series yet go to:
http://www.activecaptain.com/articles/mobilePhones/intro.php
There are 18 articles to date with more on the way.
We thank all of our Captains for your continued support and encouragement! Keep adding those reviews and anchorages, and don't forget to mention ActiveCaptain every time you ask about fuel!
